Leeds went into the match knowing they’d finish top if they won, but found themselves drawing 16-16 heading into the final minute. Then Danny McGuire chipped ahead, Hall ran on to the ball, evaded Giants full-back Scott Grix and – as the hooter sounded – dashed in from half-way to seal a 20-16 win and top spot.
